TCM nutrition

  • Individually customised nutrition for optimal health
  • All foods are categorised according to the five phases of change and their thermal effect

The diet according to TCM is based on the five phases of change and is customised for each person accordingly. It varies according to needs, ailments and season. The aim is to optimally nourish the body and thus lay the foundation for optimum health. Deficits and energetic imbalances can also be balanced out.

Foods are assigned to the five phases of change based on their effect, taste, colour and shape and are divided into cold, cooling, neutral, warming and hot based on their thermal effect. So it's about more than just vitamins and trace elements. A holistic concept is also evident here.

The sour flavour associated with wood equates to its ascending energy. The bitter flavour of fire is its expanding energy. The sweet taste stabilises the neutral earth. The pungent flavour opens the surface and balances the downward energy of the metal. The salty flavour of water dissolves stagnation of the inward energy of water.

In combination with the knowledge of a person's basic constellation, this results in a powerful means of positively influencing and supporting well-being and health in the long term.
